A forklift operator transports merchandise using a forklift truck or reach truck to designated locations within the warehouse. Responsibilities :
- Loading / unloading trucks, stocking, order filling, and other related tasks
- Must be able to lift, load and dolly 50-300lbs
- Perform physical labor up to 10 hours per day
- Operates a powered forklift truck on a regular and continuous basis to move merchandise or equipment in a distribution center
Requirements :
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus.
- 2 years’ experience operating a powered industrial truck
- OSHA certification preferable, employer certification also considered
- Other powered industrial truck skills will also be considered
- Safe, verifiable operating history from previous employer would be appreciated
- Typical work schedules are Mon-Fri. Multiple shifts may be available
- Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
